Madrid Fashion Week 2012

Is ended two days ago the Madrid Fashion Week 2012, held from August 31th to September 4th, that started the full september calendar that, not by chance, is considered by designers and fashion editors, the new year of fashion world.

During these five days, we have seen many fashion designers. Among the great collections presented, these are the ones that I liked the most.

VICTOR & LUCCHINO

A fresh, young and colored style, that plays with the contrast of floral and polka dot prints, with pastel colors and lurex inserts that give to this feminine and lively collection a playful spirit. Dedicated to young women who love to be fashionable without giving up to a lively touch that, especially during summer, shouldn't miss.

AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA

It looks like a comic the s/s collection by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Clouds, hearts, umbrellas and cakes take the place of tops, skirts and dresses for an effect, not very wereable, maybe, but surely lively and funny!

LEMONIEZ

A basic, minimal but classy style characterizes this collection. Neutral colors and a french allure give to it a simple but sophisticated elegance that doesn't need of frills.

VICTOR VON SCHWARZ

A white summer. This should be the name of this collection. Soft and delicate fabrics, like organza and chiffon, dominate on soft, romantic and bon ton dresses, made more elegant by seductive games of trasparences and enriched by crystal inserts. Simple shapes are interspersed by some ruffles that caress softly the silhouette.

DELPOZO

For his first test as new creative director after the death of Jesus DelPozo, Josep Font created a  delicious collection: delicate, fresh,feminine and complex, realized with easy and naturalness. The clothes seem almost artworks with a mix of fabrics and prints. The lightness of fabrics softens the silhouette and gives femininity and elegance to those who wear them. The simple shapes, furthermore, are animated by lively inserts and cocoon cuts, that are so fresh and youthful.

CARLOS DIEZ

Almost an aulic collection porposed by Carlos Diez, played on the shades of white, soft and delicate as a cloud. Elegant and refined, the effect is very suggestive.

MARIA ESCOTE'

This collection has two souls: the first one is romantic and inspired by a floral explosion that dominates on dresses, pants, skirts and tops. Next to black lively colors like orange, give that fresh touch that characterize the good season; the other one is more urban chic with prints (that seem to be made by street artists), lurex inserts and metallic colors.

SITA MURT

A style that reminds some brands like Chloé or Stella McCartney is proposed by Sita Murt for s/s 2013. A feminine and refined collection with simple and linear cuts, soft shapes and delicate fabrics, played on a pallet of colors that go from white to pastel colors for a sweet, casual and, if is necessary, even elegant and chic effect.

DUYOS

The collection presented by the designer is great. Feminine and elegant, chic and bon ton. Neutral and pastel colors are mixed perfectly on the  prints of dresses, skirts and pants realized in soft silk or precious brocade. Perfect for the romantic modern dreamers who love to feel beautiful and glamour.

GUILLERMINA BAEZA

Taking a look to this collection you may seem to have made a leap into the past, on the beaches of Saint Tropez, in the time of Pin ups, so young, funny and sexy. The designer proposes swimsuits that present floral and vichy prints and shapes that caress seductive the body, emphasizing the silhouette.

MAYA HANSEN

A tribute to spanish popular religious tradition, made by crosses, saints, skulls represented on the prints of dresses, pants, tops and skirts. Lively colors, mixed together perfectly, in a game of shapes and volumes that emphasize the silhouette.

JUANJO OLIVA

An elegant, delicate and ladylike collection proposed for s/s 2013. Played on the shades of white and black with touches of grey and bronze, the collection is composed by clothes made by soft silk with shapes sometimes linear, sometimes cocoon and other times hourglass. Delicate like a breath is dedicated to elegant and romantic women.

ANA LOOKING

In her collection "The talk", she imagines a summary between the personalities of Marilyn and Jackie. The result is a fresh, colored collection, in which pastel colors are mixed with prints following a style with basic and soft shapes.

KINA FERNANDEZ

A young and fresh collection, perfect for the young women who love style, simplicity and practicality. Simple shapes and ruffles, lively colors matched with neutral ones are the main elements.

AILANTO

Lively colors, cocoon shapes, ruffles and soft puffs of fabrics, floral and geometric prints characterize a collection with a fresh spirit dedicated to girls with a sweet and romantic soul.

ALVARNO

A collection that is baroque and easy chic at the same time, in which laces and inserts that remind gold and precious materials enrich the clothes. Cocoon shapes are mixed with basic pieces with neutral colors for a particular effect.
