Fashion trends 2012: Tribal style

Africa and its surreal beauty, so evocative and penetrating... it's a true dream. This year, to Dark Continent is inspired one of trends in vogue this summer season: I'm talking about tribal style, a riot of warm colors, jungle, exotic, geometric and tribal prints, typical of africain tradition, oversize hair and accessories.

The palette of colors turns around heart tones, as orange, brown, jotspot orange, red, bordeaux, that remind the image of a sunset, but also other touch of green, turquoise and black. The materials go from a simple one as cotton to silk, passing through tassel and rope for accessories, rigrously handmade, that are embellished by beads, ivory, plumage, texile fibers and metallic inserts.
This is one of the most gritty and sensual trends, warn and wrapping and at the same time, glamour and super elegant.

Reproduce the ethnic style is easy but not too much. You just have to remeber of pay attention to some element that characterize this style. So go with caftans, tunic dresses, turbans mix and match of colors, prints and fabrics, maxi accessories warm and definite colors and insert of colored stones on clothes and shoes. Don't forget the make up, maybe a smokey eyes in heart tones, and hair: strictly curly hair, wild and free.

If you like this little tips you can inspire yourself to the dj Solange Knowles, that perfectly embodies this style.

Discover and rediscover your ethnic side has never been so stylish. Among brands that celebrated this trend we have: Burberry Prorsum, Barbara Bui, Etro, L.AM.B. and BCBG Max Azria.
