Helded last november 3th the latest Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW). In the amazing and fascinating atmosphere of Brazil, have been presented the F/W 2013-14 collections by the biggest name of brazilian fashion scene.
We have seen a lot of brand, styles and inspirations by several brands that decided to show off on catwalk their true essence. Few of them, however, decided to focus on innovation. But, all in all, I have to say I'm pretty satisfied. Here the collection that caught me more:
The designer brought on scene the rappresentation of a gothic fairytale with dark and fascinating tones. The models, young restless souls, walking the catwalk wearing amazing clothes, sometimes sinuous with seductive transparences that rest gently to the body, emphasizing its moves.
One of the best collection presented at SPFW. Elegant, seductive and rich of decorations. its delicacy and its style remind me, in some ways, a mix between Elie Saab and Ermanno Scervino. The dresses wrap sinuously the silhouette emphasizing it. The shapes are more and more flared, creating an eye-catchingmovement.
This collection is a true stripes power! The stripes are proposed everywhere: on dresses, outwear and bottoms. The shapes, sometimes stright, sometimes flared or cocoon, are clean and approached to the body giving to it an allure of ease and elegance. Played on a game of metal colors, the shades go form bronze to silver, passing through beige, white, red, violet and green present on the striped prints. It's also present in the collection a strong use of fabrics like satin.
This is my favourite collection of this SPFW. Elegant, delicate and extremely ladylike. The cocoon and peplum shapes caress softly the silhouette emphasizing it and giving to it grace and refinement. Strong colors like red are muted by the sweetness of the lines, made more sophisticated by the delicate prints, inspired in almost all fy floral world taken up in the accessories, in particular bags and shoes.
With a style that reminds me Marni and Prada of the f/w collection, the brand proposes a bivalent collection: in a first moment it's clear the reference to military style. Dresses, biker jackets, oversize coats and bottom are made with leather in the iconic shade of green. Gradually, the collection turns into something different: it starts to appear ottoman patterns, inspired by 70's, in the shades of bordeaux, on dresses and shirts, while jewel inserts are present on pants, tops and outwear.
