Fashion Icon of the month: Bianca Brandolini D'Adda

The fashion icon I chose for january is one of the most popular european socialites and style icons of the XXI century, Bianca Brandolini D'Adda, ambassador of italian style in the world. Class 1987, physique of a model, flowing hair and a very sweet smile, she a regular in the parterre of fashion shows, vernissage, parties and social events all around the world.

Born from an old noble italian family, grown up among France, Italy and Brazil, Bianca gets popularity in 2008 due to her love story with her cousin, the scion of the Agnellis, Lapo Elkann, that opens up to her the doors of the fashion system.

Halfway between Georgia May Jagger and Charlotte Casiraghi, followed by paparazzi in her every pubblic appearance, Bianca quickly became a style icon admired and imitated by millions of fashionistas all over the world. In parallel of her status of princess of jet-set, she pursues a modeling carreer. Since 2011, in fact, she is chosen by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in person as testimonial for their brand next to Monica Bellucci and Bianca Balti.

Equipped with innate grace and elegance, she has a great sense of fashion. Her style is a little bohemian, a little cosmopolitan with some interesting rock hints like Kate Moss. Her ability to mix casual looks for day and chic for night, makes her always perfect even when she looks shabby, either if she wears flat shoes, heels or walks barefoot. Her outfits are very simple: basic and monochromatic elements, no flashy accessories, natural makeup, long loose hair and with a degradé effect. Essential elements to recreate her style are: skinny  pants, flat shoes, flared blouses, maxi skirts and shoulder bags.

Her wardrobe is various and allows her to realize outfits ad hoc, without exceed or be out of reach: long skirts, shorts, blouses and lace up shoes, are the inevitable pieces. For social eventsher style is more refined and detailed compared to her street style, remaining, however, within the limits of simplicity and sophistication.

And now a short slideshow of her best looks. What do you think?
