And nothing makes me happier than share my experiences with everyone. That's why I love this heading so much!
Anyway, the city that I chose this month is Berlin: an amazing city where past and future, history and innovation co-exist perfectly. It's really worthwhile to visit the city for art and culture, but also for the air (the famous "Berliner luft") and, not forget, fashion!

It doesn't matter what is the state of your finances: under Berlin's sun, there's always something to buy for all budgets. Each district will offer you its own peculiarities, with quirky shops and amazing markets!

It's also full of great  departement stores. Mitte, the most lively and creative district of Berlinwith its restaurants, bars and nightclubs, is another interesting district of fashion. Fashion trends 2012: Rock style

The trends presented for spring summer offer a wide range of choice: these range from ladylike to vintage style, from tribal to fluo, passing trough navy style and one of my favourite: Rock style.
Black power! This is the anthem of little rock queens that show with ease the punk rock festish as studded jacket, little studs and chains. Black total look is enriched by studs as they are embroidery (I think to Versace), transparences and 3D effects (I think to Givenchy) with bondage details.
And what about colors? The color! The only color admitted is one and only: black! Black as night of trasgressive taste.
The materials? Leather, lace, fake leather and microfiber but also chiffon, chantilly lace, brocades for dresses, super skinny pants, long skirts, studded jackets and shorts for a style that is rebellious and trasgressive but at the same time sensual and super feminine.
There's a lot of designers that have been won by this amazing trend, we have Versace, Balmain, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Just Cavalli, Moschino, and Francesco Scognamiglio.

Icon of rock lady style: Kate Moss, protagonist of rock imaginary, amazing in every look.

Rock style it's a true evergreen that reappears every season. I definitely love it: it makes me feel sexy, shating and strangely sophisticated.  My favourites outfit are:

Fashion trends 2012: Matador

One of the most iconic trend of S/S 2012, is the one inspired by hispanic culture, the Corrida de toros and toreadors. Illuminated by the blazing sun of Spain, uincited by the shouts of spectators, unusual toreador women parade in their traditional short jackets and stretch pants giving life to a very particular trend.

The matadors are celebrated by Moschino on s/s collection, during the Milan Fashion Week 2012. Looking at this fashion show, I've immediately thought to movie "Habla con ella" by Pedro Almodovar.

Habla con ella (2002) by Pedro Almodovar
I really liked the idea to bring on catwalk a piece of Spanish tradition, but despite an appreciable effort, I don't think this is exactly a wearable collection... a little too folk. Of course this is a personal opinion, even if I have to admit that, next to unwearable garments, there are other ones that, take individually, are more suitable, and that we can consider must-have of season.

Fashion trends 2012: White

In my opinion, nothing is more summer than a total white look. I don't why, but when I think to summer and white color they remind me my childhood, when, for escape fro scorching heat of Sicily, mom took me to get an ice cream and I regulary soiling my pretty little white dress.

Sereveral brands chose white to celebrate summer. Among them we have Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Alberta Ferretti, Valentino, Chloé and Versace.

Jil Sander, Alberta Ferretti, Paul Smith, Luisa Beccaria s/s 2012
Céline, Chanel, Ann Demeulemeester, Chloé s/s 2012

Louis Vuitton, Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren, .Normaluisa s/s 2012
Byblos, Fendi, Andrew Gn, Versace s/s 2012

I really like white look, it gives me the idea of something, at the same time, simple, elegant and "innocent".

White look - Miu Miu's polyvore

Just like black, white one of evergreen colors, that is proposed every seasons. His magic is give emphasis to female silhouette. And that's the reason why, this season, it will invade our wardrobe, ranging from the concreteness of a modern and minimal style to virtuosity of a more baroque and elaborate style. Cool and versatile, white will be our ally for the good season.
Combined with contrasts, wear it with neon clothes or accessories, or choose a total look, in every its shades, for a minimal and flawless style, soft and delicate as a cloud.

Fashion trends 2012: Tribal style

Africa and its surreal beauty, so evocative and penetrating... it's a true dream. This year, to Dark Continent is inspired one of trends in vogue this summer season: I'm talking about tribal style, a riot of warm colors, jungle, exotic, geometric and tribal prints, typical of africain tradition, oversize hair and accessories.

The palette of colors turns around heart tones, as orange, brown, jotspot orange, red, bordeaux, that remind the image of a sunset, but also other touch of green, turquoise and black. The materials go from a simple one as cotton to silk, passing through tassel and rope for accessories, rigrously handmade, that are embellished by beads, ivory, plumage, texile fibers and metallic inserts.
This is one of the most gritty and sensual trends, warn and wrapping and at the same time, glamour and super elegant.

Reproduce the ethnic style is easy but not too much. You just have to remeber of pay attention to some element that characterize this style. So go with caftans, tunic dresses, turbans mix and match of colors, prints and fabrics, maxi accessories warm and definite colors and insert of colored stones on clothes and shoes. Don't forget the make up, maybe a smokey eyes in heart tones, and hair: strictly curly hair, wild and free.

If you like this little tips you can inspire yourself to the dj Solange Knowles, that perfectly embodies this style.

Discover and rediscover your ethnic side has never been so stylish. Among brands that celebrated this trend we have: Burberry Prorsum, Barbara Bui, Etro, L.AM.B. and BCBG Max Azria.
