New York Fashion Week F/W 2013-14

It's just ended the F/W 2013-14 New York Fashion Week, one of the coolest and expected event by all fashionistas around the world. Spectacular as always, this year it proposed a (not very wide) range of different styles and personalities, for a show on top of expectations.

As always happens, there was collection I liked most and other I liked less, but at the end of the day I have to say I'm pretty satisfied. These are, in my opinion, the best collections presented.

ALEXANDRE HERCHCOVITCH
Despite the rainy days of the last months, Alexandre Herchcovitch chooses to let inspire by flowers in the creation of the shapes of his romantic and timeless dresses, characterized by the constantly presence of peplum. Played on shades of white, ivory and powder pink, the collection is softened by delicate floral prints.

ALTUZARRA
Male inspiration, metropolitan atmosphere and a linear and sensual style. This is the recipe of the F/W 13-14 collection by Altuzarra. Tailored garments, apparently simple, but carefully treated in details, are specially made to emphases the female shapes... for women that know how to be sexy without efforts.

CAROLINA HERRERA
Ladylike, elegant and refined with a little retro touch. Inspired by the glamour of 40's, the whole collection is animated by refined floral prints and colorful fur inserts. Light in fabrics, delicate in shapes the collection is the ultimate proof that when it comes to style and femininity, Carolina Herrera is always a guarantee.

ERIN BY ERIN FETHERSTON
Feminine and elegant, enriched by metallic fabrics, the collection is youth and delicious, perfect for the young fashionistas around the world who always want to be impeccable without excesses. Linear, flared and horglass shapes and shades that go from white to black, from electric blue to purple, interspresed by lovely floral prints.

LELA ROSE
A great mix of different inspirations with a double soul and an actual charm. Modern, youth and colorful the first one, characterized by games of colors and overlaps of fabrics and prints, that recalls the warm colors of heart: from yellow to brown, from orange to green. More refined and sensual that the second one that, thank to a wise use of transparences and fur inserts, gives an allure of refined elegance.

RED VALENTINO
Memories of a far childhood... This could be the title of the F/W 13-14 collection by Red Valentino, inspired by the tale of Hansel and Gretel. Ruffles, knee socks and bowed headbands. An explosion of sweetness, elegance and sophistication, print and patterns that reproduce the decorations of cakes with marzipan and pastoral prints.

TOMMY HILFIGER
There are Hermione Granger, Ginny Wesley and Luna Lovegood in the last collection by Tommy Hilfiger. A tribute to british tailoring tradition (reinterpreted in his personal way and trademark of the designer) and a preppy style (treated in details) inspired by a super glamour 60's twist.

ZAC POSEN
Opulence, elegance and refinement are the key words of this collection. Embroidery, applications, sautache, bright colors that look like jewels, brocades and precious fabrics like silk and velvet and colors like burgundy, pink and brown made of this collection one of my favourite of the all NYFW 2013.

Which collection you liked the most?
