Fashion trends 2013: Floral style

In one of the most hilarious scenes of the movie The devil wears Prada, the great Meryl Streep, in the role of the merciless editor of Runway Magazine Miranda Priestly, comments season trends in this way: <<Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking!>>. But, despite what Miranda says, floral style is everything but trivial and confirms itself, once again, as true evergreen of season, present in its every declination on clothes and accessories.

Enough with daisies and delicate little flowers, bon ton style. This season, flowers are revisited in a more modern way: grafic, stylized, abstract. In short, is back a trend that is still capable to amaze, although is not exactly a news... and, please, Miranda will forgive us! Seem light years away the times the s/s 2012 collections by Louis Vuitton, Blumarine, Dolce & Gabbana and Blugirl where, like old paintings, elegant floral prints stand out gently on clothes.

Trends 2012: Floral style

Among themes that will depopulate more on this spring/summer season, there are flower prints, always among the most popular choises. Flowers of every dimension, even raised in 3D effect, enrich the fabrics and decreed floral style as trend for s/s 2012.

Pants, skirts, dresses, blazers and blouses dress up with colorful flowers, creating, sometimes, a total floral effect even on shoes and accessories. Among brands that proposed floral style, there are Moschino cheap and chic, Blumarine, Blugirl and Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton, Blumarine, Dolce e Gabbana, Christopher Kane s/s 2012
Moncler Gamme Rouge, Blugirl, Araks, Dries Van Noten s/s 2012
Moschino cheap and chic, Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte, Dolce e Gabbana s/s 2012
Ashish, Alexander McQueen, Peter Som, Mary Katrantzou s/s 2012
Erdem, Antonio Marras, Junya Watanabe, Luca Luca s/s 2012

A versatile style both romantic and lively, suitable for day and night if it's matched well. Personally, I think that a floral total look it's too much, I prefere just one or two pieces to combine with a other basic ones, just like that:
