Ladies, save the date: arrives November 6, in the stores of more than 55 countries all over the world, the new capsule collection signed by Alexander Wang for H&M. Another shooting for the swedish giant that, after the big success of the collection signed by Isabel Marant, entrust the newyorker designer, creative director of Balenciaga since 2012, symbol of that metropolitan and comsopolitan style, easy and glmaour at the same time. The announcement was given few days ago during an event at Coachella Music Festival, helded in Plam Springs last April 11. The designer in person gave the news posting two video on his own Instagram profile.

Girls, take paper and pen and mark it in your agendas: great news at H&M! The swedish giant of low cost clothing has, in fact, scored another amazing collaboration. After Maison Martin Margiela, Marni and Versace, just to quote some, this time is the turn of Isabel Marant.

I'm talking about the Sweden's most popular fashion illustrators, known by every fashionista and mentioned in almost every fashion and art blogs over the internet... I'm talking about Cassandra Rhodin, of course! We don't much about her, she cares to keep her privacy but this doesn't prevent us to talk about her and her amazing works.

H&M New Icons capsule collection

Make a note on your agendas girls! New season, new collection coming... Will be release next april 11th The New Icons, the newest S/S 2013 pre-collection signed by H&M. The top models Joan Smalls, Daphne Groenveld, Lindsay Wixson and Liu Wen are the muses who inspired this collection. True masters of style a little urban, a little edgy but always super glamour, they are the perfect testimonials of a collection all to mix, thanks to which different styles and trends match each other.

Laetitia Casta for H&M Christmas Lingerie Collection 2012

The swedish colossus of low cost clothing H&M is an habitué of illustrious collaboration for great capsule collection. The last one, in order of time, is AdR for H&M, the one signed by the fashion icon Anna dello Russo that, unfortunately, didn't find the success hypothesized. In a certain way it reminds me the collection signed by Donatella Versace for H&M.

An eccentric collection, maybe too much. In spite I love Anna dello Russo as character, I think her collection was a bit tacky and exaggerated. That's true, in time of crisis everyone's got the gold fever  but even a shower, Anna! Do you remember the music video of "Fashion Shower", chosen as advertsing campaign? If you don't, take a look here. If you do, well you don't need me to say more. 

After this unexpected flop, the brand looks to the future with the collection signed by Maison Martin Margela (of which I talked about here), that will be released the November 15, and prepares to the launch of a new and elegant lingerie Christmas collection. To do this, it relies to a guest testimonial, a name appreciated by the entire fashion system: the french top model, actress and style icon Laetita Casta.

Classy and sophisticated she's the perfect face for this collection characterized by pieces that enhance the female body making it even more sexy, and dedicated to confident women who are not afraid do dare with underwear in a sensual game of laces, sequins and zips.

Ladies and fashion addicted listen: great news! After the recent collaborations with Marni and Anna Dello Russo, the low cost brand H/M get another great and unexpected collaboration for f/w 2012-13. This time, is the turn of the brand with a minimalist and conceptual soul by definition: I'm talking about Maison Martin Margiela, that designed a capsule collection of clothes and accessories, for her and for him, rigorously low cost.

New in my closet part I

Yesterday I was really down in the dumps: the workload that's waiting for me is bigger than I expected so, I have to work at least until at end of July before I can take a vacation! As if it were not enough, is coming in a scorching heat in the city and the idea of being locked in a little room all day is not attractive at all. Among other things, with summer and heat people move to seaside and the city is competely desert... After news like these I was really down, so I took advantage of my free afternoon and I was comforted with some shopping! Lately I've been really good: I have limitated my purchases, buying only was really necessary.  And now, I decided to give something to lift my spirit... It was not a shopping spree session, but I have to admit that I missed going to shops, trying new clothes and coming home with a few more shopping bags... Here's a part of what I bought:

Flipping through the various fashion magazines and wandering among web sites and fashion blogs, we can see how, more and more often, giants of low cost fashion seek the collaboration of talented artists and established brands: examples are the mini collection that international brands like Lanvin and Marni (just to name a few) have created for the brand of  low cost fashion H&M (I’ve talked about it here).

Now is the turn of Mary Katrantzou, talented greek designer know and appreciated in the world, who has come to her third collaboration with the british multinational of low cost clothing Topshop, to which she has created a capsule collection for S/S 2012, presented during the London fashion week and launched on the brand’s web site, that is going to steal!
