Fashion trends S/S 2014

Tired of this cold long winter I decided to focus on summer. I know it's still far but, you know what they say, dream doesn't cost a thing. So I took a look to s/s 2014 fashion shows. A lot of proposals for the next season. Among confirmations and comebacks designers give space to minimal inclinations and exuberance translated in several creative themes like folk, pop and tribal.

ARTISTIC SPIRIT

Antonio Marras, Aquilano Rimondi, Prada, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Giles

Oscar Wilde said that "one should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art". No quote is fairer to describe one of the coolest trend of s/s 2014. That's how bring to life clothes that look like paintings, that represent drawings and pictures of female faces, each of them inspired by the greatest artists like Paul Gauguin and Diego Rivera.

Kris Atomic for iBlues

Is funny, colorful and lively the new capsule collection s/s 2014 signed by iBlues made in collaboration with Kris Atomic, the polyhedral illustrator and blogger of krisatomic.com, focused on patterns and her typical "girlish" illustrations. That's how comes to life Barbara, the young and dynamic character protagonist, with her friends, of the collection.

 Five are the models: two dresses, a shirt, a jumpsuit for free time and an exclusive t-shirt, each of them characterized by a preppy&funny style and sorbet colors, a true must have for s/s season.

Alta Roma Haute Couture S/S 2014

In the sensational frame of the eternal city took place, from january 24 to 28, Alta Roma Alta Moda 2014, the date with the haute couture signed made in Italy. 

Big names form italian and internationa fashion scene came to present their creations. The best of tradition and innovation in this four days of fashion, style and elegance.

Paris Haute Couture S/S 2014 pills

Is ended last 23 jenuary the haute couture week s/s 2014 that brought, in the spectacualr and fascinating atmosphere of Paris, the most luxurious show of fashion system.

This year, however, the designers distorted the most classic cornerstones and bringing a breath of fresh air. Among twinkles and precious materials, here walks on catwalks sneakers and kneepads...

In the romantic and fascinating frame of Rodin Museum's gardens go on stage the collection signed by Raf Simons who proposes a personal and modern reinterpretation of the classic canons of haute couture thought for a young woman, confident, ethereal and feminine. The collection is light and elegant, simple at first sight but also precious, enriched by 3D embroidery and tulle applications, lace and silk in an alternation of white, dark blue and delicate pastel colors.

Paris Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Is ended last October 2 the Paris Fashion Week s/s 2014 that, after New York, London and Milan closes the loop of the four most important fashion weeks of the year. In the setting of one of the most important capitals of fashion took turns some of the biggest names of fashion scene.

In the catwalks of the Ville Lumiere there were confirms, surprises and no real disappointment, even if someone betrayed the expectation, just a little bit. Summing up, it's clear that fashion industry is alive and more strong than ever and it's still able to surprise and excite, thanks to its ability in reinvent and reinterpret itself. And now, a short reviw of my favourite collections.

Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Is just ended the last edition of Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014, maybe the most important event in the italian fashion scene. With my big surprise, I have to admit that, despite my expectations, I really enjoyed this fashion week. I liked every collection, which one special on its own. A very intense and hectic week, that made me discover once again the passion I've always had for fashion (and that I had almost forgotten) and reminded me how much is important to hold on and work hard to make your purpose come true.

As I said, a true escalation of different styles, different worlds that bring up the flag of the italian style, making it unique and inimitable. And now a short review of the collection I loved the most.

London Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Is just ended the last Merceds Benz London Fashion Week S/S 2014, held from september 13th to 17th. As happened for New York, despite the beautiful collections presented, there have been few news, nothing really shocking... what a pity, right?

But we can't surely pretend the moon, can we? So, for the moment be satisfied waiting towards what expects us in Milan. In the meanwhile here a short review of my favourite collections.

New York Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Hi, guys! Is ended just yesterday one of the biggest event of fashion system that takes the bench for the entire month. Of course, I'm talking about the New York Fashion Week that every year summons designer, buyers, editors and fashion bloggers from every part of the globe. 

Many proposals, as always, but few changes from the previous year that that didn't upset me. But I can't claim the moon, right? So, that's, in my opinion, the bets of NFW S/S 2014.
