Fashion Icon of the month: Astrid Bergès-Frisbey

Hy guys! The style icon I chose for this month is the beautiful hispanic-french actress Astrid Bergés-Frisbey, the charming mermaid of the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie, one of the youngest and most promising star of Cinema, included by Vogue Magazine (a fairly authoritative voice in this field) in the list of Ten Rising Style Stars. Excuse me if it's not that much!

Her carreer is short but surely on the rise. She debuts in 2007 as actress in several film and tv series, landing on the big screen next year in Un barrage contre la Pacifique, next to Isabelle Huppert and Gaspard Ulliel, which is followed by other more or less important participations on movies like La prèmiere étoile, Extase and La fille du puisatier. She moves her first steps in fashion world in 2010 when she stars her model carreer for French Connection collections, but the very big success comes in 2011 when she gets the role of Syrena, the beuatiful (and a bit evil) and enchantress mermaid in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, next to Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Gemma Ward and Sam Claflin, that opens to her the doors of fame and fashion system.

Her irresistible and effortless charm, her mix of different cultures (spanish, american and french) and her fresh and sophisticated beauty haven't gone unnoticed and brought her in a very short time to conquer the heart of the coolest designers of the moment. The first one to remain ensnared was Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld who personally elected her as ambassador of Maison Chanel around the world. Regular in front row of parisian fashion show, guest of the coolest parties and social events, Astrid is climbing, on tiptoe but with determination, the peak of It-girls of the moment... Certainly is a long way, but if you have a special friend like Karl Lagerfeld who dresses you for the official occasions and the most important red carpets surely helps!
