Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014 pills

Is just ended the last edition of Milan Fashion Week S/S 2014, maybe the most important event in the italian fashion scene. With my big surprise, I have to admit that, despite my expectations, I really enjoyed this fashion week. I liked every collection, which one special on its own. A very intense and hectic week, that made me discover once again the passion I've always had for fashion (and that I had almost forgotten) and reminded me how much is important to hold on and work hard to make your purpose come true.

As I said, a true escalation of different styles, different worlds that bring up the flag of the italian style, making it unique and inimitable. And now a short review of the collection I loved the most.

BLUMARINE

After an enchanted fairy wood inspiration, elegant and delicate as a breath, the sexy turning point that you don't expect! Laces, macrame, see-trough fabrics and a recall to Betty Page and 50's Pin-ups give to the collection a modern and saucy mood (trademark of the brand) with  a bit of rock soul.

BLUGIRL

A nice revisiting of 60's twist the one proposed by Anna Molinari, lively and crafty, declined in  sweet sorbet colors, cheerful and delicate, enriched by floral prints, three-dimensional decorations, crochet and metallic shades.

DOLCE & GABBANA

Arrives from the Ancient Rome the inspiration for the s/s collection presented by Dolce & Gabbana: the prints of the eternal city stand out on clothes while the old coins become a decorative theme for belts and accessories. There also are floral themes and the inevitable black lace that, as tradition for the brand, plays with the see-trough effect.

ERMANNO SCERVINO

A touch of sportwear is the spearhead of the s/s collection signed by Ermanno Scervino. A whole new daywear, easy and chic at the same time, in which the protagonist is khaki  declined in several ways. However do not miss the personal galmorous touch of the designer evident in the cascade of crystal inserts on jackets and cabans.

LES COPAINS

Absolutely, one of my favourite! Tricot cotton, embroidered organza, lace, chiffon, silk and jacquard fil coupé, those are the ingredients of a great collection, perfect from every point of view: ladylike, ethereal, elegant and inspired by the pictorial compositions of Georgia O'Keefe.

GIORGIO ARMANI

King Giorgio won again. The collection is amazing: light, impalpable, but also solid, elegant and sophisticated beyond all expectations, ladylike and dreamy even in daywear... the proof that class is not water.

LUISA BECCARIA

Luisa Beccaria is always capable to excite me. This time she presented a romantic and ethereal collection, made of bright and natural colors, of light fabrics and delicate embroidery. Flowers and butterflies stand out on clothes enriched by pearls, precious laces and sensual see-trough effects.

MILA SCHON

Several are the peak elements of this collection: 70's inspiration of the pants, haitian prints and watercolor shades and sporty influences. In the complex a delicate but unpretentious collection, ladylike, minimal and easy that doesn't give up to more whimsical hints.

Alessandro Dell'Acqua reproposes his magic. Male rigour and that touch of frivolousness typical of women are mixed perfectly in his s/s collection that plays with contrasts among fabrics and matches and that is able to redefine the concepts of elegance and sobriety.

PRADA

Watchwords: entertain, revolutionize, suprise and dair. This is the key to understanding this collection. In a setting underground made of murales and street art, among sportwear elements hip-pop style come to life printed mini dresses, school girl skirts, decorated coats and bright colorful furs. An original and unique collection that shows how the genius of Miuccia Prada is impossible to imitate.

ROBERTO CAVALLI

The true surprise of this fashion week for me is Roberto Cavalli's show. Not only hippy rock style, but a very classy, elegant, rich and sophisticated that make great use of the leather enriched by bright inserts and laces that create a ladylike and sensual see-trough effect that shows off all the rock soul of the brand.
